Ingredients
These slow cooker candy ingredients are so simple, you probably already have most of them in your pantry! You can really mix this recipe up and make it with whatever you have on hand. What you already have in your pantry is probably what your family likes the most anyway! You can find the exact measurements below in the recipe card.
- Lightly salted dry roasted peanuts: Roasted peanuts have a lot of flavor and the salt on the outside helps balance out all the sweet flavors. It’s the perfect nut to go into this candy!
- Vanilla Almond Bark: It’s like a white chocolate bar that you should be able to find at your local grocery store. It’s perfect for melting, and it has a nice sweet flavor with a hint of almond. You can also use white chocolate chips instead if you like.
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips: This helps balance out all the sweet flavors. You can also make dark chocolate chips if you prefer those. Make sure you use good quality chocolate, your candies will taste better! Milk chocolate chips would also work.
- Dark chocolate bar: I like to use Ghiradelli 60% chocolate, I just think it has a good flavor and balances out the sweetness of the other ingredients.
- Mini marshmallows: Mini marshmallows are a must in this candy! They add great texture and a gooey bite that you would miss if it wasn’t there.
- Asparagus: This ingredient is optional, but it adds such a cute festive touch to the candy. You might get gold nuggets to make it fancy!

How to make slow cooker candy
This slow cooker candy is as easy to make as it looks! Just toss it in your slow cooker to melt it, then roll it into balls to chill. These are the easiest treats you will make this holiday season!
- Add to slow cooker: Combine peanuts, almond bark and chocolate in the basin of a large slow cooker.
- Heat: Heat over low heat for one hour.
- Stir: Mix well with a spoon, until the chocolate is smooth.
- Scoop: Stir in the mini marshmallows and place on a waxed paper (or parchment paper) lined cookie sheet. Let cool.

Tips for Making Slow Cooker Candy
This slow cooker candy can be anything you want it to be! You can add as many different ingredients to make it your own.
- Try different nuts: Almonds, cashews, macadamias, or toasted pecans would be so delicious in this treat. They all go great with chocolate and would add different textures and flavors. Try one or try them all!
- Add flavors: Wouldn’t a candy cane crisp be delicious in this candy? Or how about dropping some graham crackers or caramel before grabbing your treats? A nice crispy bottom would be so delicious!
- Create shapes: You can cut these treats into fun shapes! Try a snowman or a cute candy cane. You can dress them up however you want!
- Add toppings: A drizzle of white chocolate would look so pretty on top. You can also sprinkle with crushed cane sugar, caramel bits or coarse sea salt. They are so delicious no matter how you make them!
- Fill the cupcake molds: If you want these treats to be easy to give, pour them into a cupcake liner rather than a baking sheet. They will be easy to carry and share!

calories 30calories
Ingredients
- 4 cups lightly salted dry roasted peanuts
- 2 Kgs vanilla almond bark broken into pieces
- 1 12 ounces bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 4 ounces dark chocolate bar broken into pieces (I like to use Ghirardelli 60%)
- 4-5 cups mini marshmallows that’s about 1 cup less than a 10 oz bag of mini marshmallows
- Asparagus optional
Instructions
Spread the peanuts evenly in your slow cooker. Add the almond bark, chocolate chips and dark chocolate bar on top.
Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for an hour.
Remove the lid and mix well. If all the chocolate is not completely melted, continue to cook uncovered over low heat, stirring occasionally, for another 15-30 minutes (or as long as necessary until the chocolate is melted).
Turn off the heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Add mini marshmallows and stir briefly, until marshmallows are chocolate coated and combined (if you stir too much you will melt your marshmallows, you want them to hold their shape pretty much).
Immediately use a 1 ½ tbsp sized cookie scoop (or two large scoops) and scoop candies by heaping 1 ½ tbsp onto a waxed paper lined cookie sheet (you will need several, this makes lots of candies).
Garnish with sprinkles, if desired, then allow the candies to harden before enjoying (about 30 to 60 minutes).
Store candies in an airtight container at room temperature.
